#This is one of the things that makes me love John Watson so much. The way that he puts his hand on Sherlock’s hip, it’s in such a loving way. Like a parent does when they take their child to bed. It’s a sign of intimacy. A sign of protection. #Its him saying “I’ll just be outside. If you need me. I’m here.” It’s almost like he just needs to know that Sherlock is warm and safe and comfortable. It’s important to him. Because Sherlock is important to him.
